The EUX3 attaches to the cooling air and combustion emissions vent on the upper rear of the EU3000is and EU30is (Int'l). The EUX3 comes with a custom thermo-formed polycarbonate shroud with attached collar for securing the aluminum flex tube, 6 piercing, tapping screws for attachment to the sound cover of the generator and five inch diameter by 32 inch long aluminum flex tube with worm clamp. Also consider the 5GDV accessory (generator-line.com) for attaching the flex tube to the exterior wall. An intake vent must be provided on the generator enclosure to allow for fresh air intake to the control panel side of the generator. The EUX3 exhaust extension is for use in a designated generator enclosure and not for use in or near living areas such as attached garages, RV's, crawlspaces etc. because of the risk carbon monoxide exposure.
